At Photo Atlas Journey, we believe your travel memories and location history are personal and should remain private. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in our mobile application.

1. 100% On-Device Processing

Photo Atlas Journey is designed with a "Local-First" architecture. All processing, including photo indexing, metadata extraction, and map rendering, happens entirely on your device.

• We do not use any external servers.
• We do not upload your photos, location data, or metadata to any cloud service.

2. Information We Access

To provide our core features, the app requires access to the following:

• Photo Library: We access your photo library to read the date and GPS metadata (latitude/longitude) required to place your memories on the map.
• Location Services (Optional): If granted, we use your current location only to show your position on the map and to provide the "Focus Me" feature. This data is never stored off-device.

3. No Data Collection

• No Accounts: You do not need to create an account or provide an email address to use the app.
• No Analytics/Tracking: We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking tools (like Google Analytics or Firebase). We do not track your behavior within the app.
• No Advertising: The app does not contain third-party advertisements or trackers.

4. Data Storage

Any data the app generates (such as the local index of photo locations) is stored in a private database on your iPhone. This data is deleted if you uninstall the app.

5. Third-Party Services

The app uses Apple Maps (MapKit) to display map tiles. Your interactions with the map are subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy. No personal identifiers are shared with Apple by Photo Atlas Journey.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" above.
